Leadtek finally launches its GeForce RTX 40 GPU
Since Leadtek did not make GeForce RTX 3080 Ti or RTX 3090 Ti GPUs, the newest RTX 4090 model is a first enthusiast gaming card from this company in almost 2 years.
The new Winfast is also one of the largest graphics card the company has ever released. Measuring 35 cm, it is 3 centimeters longer than its predecessor, the RTX 3090 Winfast. It is also thicker, now requiring at least 3.5 slots of space.
The card is equipped with a triple-fan cooling design, with an X-shaped shroud over three 100 mm fans. With the ‘Esports LEDs’ off (that’s the actual name, by the way), it is a sleek black/brown metallic design with full cover backplate. According to the product description, underneath the fans is a large heatsink with eight 6mm heat pipes.
Leadtek RTX 4090 Winfast Hurricane is based on the latest NVIDIA Ada architecture. This semi custom design packs 16384 CUDA cores and 24 GB of GDDR6X memory. It ships with one 16-pin power connector and default TDP of 450W. The company recommends at least 850W PSU with three 8-pin PCIe cables available.
There is no factory overclocking applied here, so it offers a default 2520 MHz boost clock and 21 Gbps effective memory bandwidth.
This model does not appear to be listed by any store yet, so the pricing is not yet confirmed. However, do not expect Leadtek cards to suddenly become available worldwide, as the company focuses mainly on the Asian market.
