AMD A620: The first entry-level motherboard revealed in photos-1

ASRock A620 motherboard photos leaked. This is the new AMD chipset that will join B650 and X670 series, with a aim to make the AM5 platform more affordable.
The main thing to know is that the A620 series will not work with PCIe Gen5 devices, so users should keep in mind that they cannot upgrade to Gen5 graphics or Gen5 storage on these boards. But, with no Gen5 GPUs around and not many Gen5 storage options, gamers should not worry too much.

AMD A620 platform could be a great choice for Ryzen 7000X3D series. These AMD CPUs with 3D V-Cache are not meant for overclocking, and some models even use less power than then 7000X ones. So, the motherboard does not need a strong VRM to supply that extra power.

A new motherboard from ASRock, called A620M-HDV/M.2, is coming soon. It is a Micro-ATX size with one PCIe Gen4 x16 slot and two DDR5 DIMM slots. The A620 series will be the first entry-level chipset from AMD to support DDR5 memory. DDR4 technology is not compatible with AMD Ryzen 7000 series, so DDR5 was the only option. But, the price of DDR5 memory has gone down a lot in the last few months, especially for the 4800 MT/s kits.
