Testing Results
We used a SpyderX Pro to conduct the testing and later the calibration. I prefer my own dial in because the Spyder software thinks I need a very dim monitor. Plus if You use two different brands of monitors it is extremely difficult to achieve a perfectly synced picture, even when using a calibration tool.
MONITOR PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS
It’s important to know how your monitors perform during color-critical work. With the SpyderX Display Analysis feature, you can better understand the color, brightness, contrast, gamut, tone response and white point of your monitors.
95% of sRGB and 73% of P3 are good results!
Highest brightness reading was 429.5 and highest contrast was 720:1!

Conclusion and Verdict
I am by no means a pro when it comes to gaming, but I enjoy it a lot. I am definitely a casual gamer, but I found this monitor helpful in more ways than one. I will start by saying I was surprised I wasn’t disappointed with the screen size. For too long I had the mind set bigger is always better. When it comes to your gaming monitor this is so far from the truth. If you are looking for accuracy, then having a smaller screen is better. You ultimately have less real-estate to cover and when it comes to pro gaming the accuracy and reaction time can be the difference in determining a win or a loss. So having a high refresh rate and a smaller screen is the key. Just make sure you have a decent graphics card to hit the 360Hz refresh. My 5500 XT struggled but because the is a 1080p resolution, you will achieve much higher FPS than a 1440P screen. A 1080p screen is something I would consider the minimum resolution when choosing a monitor. I will be honest with the smaller size I would have never guessed it wasn’t at least 1440p.
There are too many positives to mention. I liked the fact that there was an OSD controller. This should be mandatory for every monitor. Not having to reach around the back and find the OSD button was fantastic. The game modes had very distinct coloring and contrast. Each had its own benefit in their respective categories. The screen features a different type of screen. It’s hard to explain but it looked better than your typical matte screen. This was defiantly something that reduced the glare and reflections.
The AOC AGON Pro AG254FG is geared towards professionals for sure. When you put the monitor hood on it looks like something you see on TV. It just looks like serious stuff. The monitor’s presence is all business, and when you walk into a room and see something like this you know you have a serious gamer on your hands. From the elite specifications to the RGB this is a true gamers dream monitor.
As you can see from the test results the colors are good. They didn’t set color reproduction records but represented each color gamut sufficiently. Gaming on this was like driving a luxury car and you could just feel the responsiveness and difference form something typical.
One thing I have yet to mention are the speakers.. They have a decent sound and get plenty loud enough. If you are in a pinch and don’t have a external set of speakers, then don’t worry because you wont be disappointed by the sound from the built in speakers.
Everything you need to know: 360Hz, 1ms response, IPS panel, sRGB coverage, P3 Coverage, Brightness, Contrast, NVIDIA G-SYNC, VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, 5W Speakers, and RGB. All of these things I just mentioned make this monitor a beast among all other monitors.
