ASUS has officially announced the ProArt Display OLED PA27USD, a new monitor aimed squarely at creative professionals. Featuring the classic, no-nonsense design of a professional display, the PA27USD is built around a cutting-edge QD-OLED panel and comes equipped with a suite of front-facing buttons for quick access to settings and a shading hood to shield the screen from ambient light.
With its compact, desktop-friendly form factor, the ProArt Display OLED PA27USD is perfect for video editors, designers, and any professional working with HDR content who demands color accuracy and reliable connectivity. It utilizes a 27-inch Samsung QD-OLED panel with a 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution and true 10-bit color depth. In a notable move for a professional display, it also boasts a 240Hz refresh rate.
The panel's specifications are impressive across the board: it reaches 1000 nits of peak brightness, covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and is factory pre-calibrated to achieve a Delta E of less than 1. With support for both HDR10 and HLG formats, it’s built to work seamlessly with professional hardware calibration software like Calman and Light Illusion’s ColourSpace CMS, making it an ideal choice for editing HDR video or tackling any color-critical work.
The ProArt Display OLED PA27USD also boasts several features not commonly found on consumer displays. A key highlight is the built-in motorized colorimeter, which supports auto-calibration. This allows for easy and accurate recalibration over time, ensuring exceptional color fidelity for content creators in photography, video editing, and digital art. Furthermore, it includes a 12G-SDI port—a connection typically reserved for broadcast and studio-grade equipment—capable of handling uncompressed 12 Gbit/s video signals, a critical requirement for many professional workflows.
Connectivity is robust, featuring dual Thunderbolt 4 ports that support daisy-chaining and deliver up to 96W of power via Power Delivery. This enables a clean, single-cable solution for connecting a laptop, transmitting video, and charging simultaneously. Drawing comparisons to the similarly positioned ProArt Display OLED PA32UCDM, the PA27USD is also expected to include an HDMI 2.1 port and function as a built-in USB hub.
