We are back with another product from Tronsmart, the Apollo Air Earbuds! Tronsmart is quickly becoming one of those brands that continues to show up more and more if you are searching for a set of earbuds or a Bluetooth speaker. I would say they have a pretty good idea of what makes a speaker a good speaker. I have reviewed several of their speakers, both earbuds and Bluetooth speaker, in the past and each one has yet to disappoint. They have all had decent sound and the price didn’t make you cringe. So we are back showing you the Apollo Air. Yep, you guessed it, these have a very similar design you may recognize. What I really like about these, they are in-the-ear earbuds. I have yet to find an earbud that fit my ear if it wasn’t that style. So I am glad to see these are that style. And if you are looking for a decent alternative to the much more expensive ones, you know which ones I’m talking about, then you have a great option with these, right here! If you are are constantly on the go and can’t live without your music or podcast, then your earbuds might see a lot of use. The worst is having a pair that constantly needs charged or just doesn’t hold up to your daily activities. Thankfully Tronsmart had that in mind and equipped the Apollo Air with great battery life and also equipped them with IP45 element resistance. Now that we have the basics covered lets take a close look at what we get with Apollo Air earbuds.
The Apollo Air is equipped with Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling technology reducing up to 35dB, 10mm drivers, 6 microphones, and the newest Bluetooth 5.2 connection. The Apollo Air provides you with nonstop music for 20 hours and can be controlled through the Tronsmart App.
I would like to thank Tronsmart for providing this review sample! Let us see what they have to say about themselves on their website:
Company Overview – About Us
Tronsmart is a tech brand that designs and manufactures world-class tech accessories, which has rapidly expanded in America, Europe, Middle East & many Asian countries. The core value of Tronsmart is to make your life easier by providing you with high-tech, high-quality and high-performance products.
The founder of Tronsmart, Eric Cheng, is an electronic enthusiast who in 2008 used his first paycheck to create a small laboratory, where he disassembled tech products in order to grasp a greater understanding of their inner components. Being located in Shenzhen – Asia’s Silicon Valley of hardware – he would find components in the local market and assemble his own unique electric devices. Eric took this self-acquired understanding of electronics and used it to create a wide range of cost-effective gadgets. After assembling a trusted team, Eric managed to bring his self-made electronics to mass production; thus creating the brand “Tronsmart” in 2013.
Tronsmart has assembled a team of world-renowned R&D professionals in order to continually create the latest and greatest products. Tronsmart employs over 200 talented individuals, a third of which are engineering specialists. Tronsmart truly believes that “if you offer the customer quality products at an affordable price, nothing can stop you from expansion”. It’s this system of belief that fuels our desire to keep “Powering You Ahead” by continually offering more incredible products each year.

Conclusion and Verdict
We all know what these look like and what they are intended to be an alternative too. I think I am safe not calling out that other brand and the price of those either. We will just leave at, really expensive. I don’t think it is fair to directly judge these against those but because they are similar in design it is hard not too. But the price is night and day. If you are a fan of this type of design then you have something to get excited about because these are great earbuds. The sound is very good at all levels. The only thing I noticed, is at full volume you could tell that was all the speaker had and if it was able to go any higher you would probably start to hear distortion during heavy bass. I could tell it was on the cusp but the audio at full blast was plenty loud enough and the sound was crisp and the bass was distributed well. The battery life lived up to the 5 hours at 50% volume. After you depleted the battery you could throw them in the case for 15 min and get another hour or so out of them. The Bluetooth 5.2 is absolutely fantastic. I was able to go about 70ft before these started to cutout. That is extremely far and being able to go that far from my phone was amazing.
I prefer in-the-ear earbuds. This is going to differ between each person but I find this style much more comfortable and they actually don’t fall out of my ear. You also have the 3 size options to choose from but if you have used several different earbuds you may notice that most of the eartips are interchangeable. So if you have a particular set of eartips you like then there should be no problem putting those on these earbuds.
Another highlight is the ANC function that allows the user to switch between different types of noise cancelling technologies. And we have covered this on several other devices. Lets refresh that tech real quick. When active the ANC produces a sound wave that helps cancel out the background noise. This noise is almost unrecognizable to us but work wonders drowning out the back ground noise. A microphone will actually monitor the background noise and adjust the ANC accordingly. You will notice a slight audio difference when switching back and forth. The audio still sounds great. You will come across some ANC that degrades the audio and its not worth using. But that isn’t the case here. The ambient sound mode is a cool feature that allows for the background noise to freely pass through as if you weren’t wearing any earbuds at all. This is extremely handy if you find yourself in the situation where you want to hear everything around while not missing out you tunes. I didn’t notice any change in the audio quality at all. The audio quality stayed exactly the same.
I am not personally a fan of the touch controls on earbuds. That goes for any of them. I tend to activate the touch controls way to often even of I am just trying to reset the earbud in my ear. Now this is where the app comes in. This is honestly something I hope to see more of. The app had all the touch control functions and had preset equalizers to choose from. The app is very handy and worked very well.
The call quality was as good as you could ask for. This earbuds have plenty of microphone pickups and produces a quality that will garner no complaints from the other end.
