NVIDIA will reportedly launch the Titanium variant of its GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card in May. The rumor comes from VideoCardz, whose sources claim that the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti will leverage the GA104-400 GPU and boast 6,144 CUDA Cores—the same amount as the GeForce RTX 3080 laptop GPU. NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is also said to feature an 8 GB GDDR6X memory configuration.

“The AIB source has received initial specifications featuring GA104-400 GPU, indicating that the card would offer 6144 CUDA cores, just as many as RTX 3080 Mobile,” VideoCardz reported. “What might be interesting is that the card would allegedly feature 8GB of GDDR6X memory. This would suggest that GA104 GPU has G6X memory controller support after all. The current launch schedule indicates that this model would launch by the end of May.”

VideoCardz goes on to reiterate ongoing rumors of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti launching in early April, which would place the Titanium version of NVIDIA’s flagship Ampere graphics card a month ahead of the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. While its previously rumored CUDA core count (10,240) and memory configuration (12 GB GDDR6X) hasn’t changed, sources now believe that the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will leverage the GA102-225 GPU instead of the GA102-250.

“At this moment it is unclear what changes does the GA102-225 brings over GA102-250,” VideoCardz wrote. “The embargoed information reiterates the 12GB GDDR6X memory claim. Detailed specs have not been shared yet. NVIDIA’s so-called ‘go to market kit’ will be distributed in early April, the documents reveal.”
