AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 16-core Zen4 CPU is now supported by Y-Cruncher

 AMD Ryzen 9 7950X with 16-cores spotted running y-cruncher

The developer of y-cruncher CPU benchmark confirms the software supports AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs.

Alexander Yee, the author of y-cruncher Pi calculation benchmark for modern CPUs, is now confirming his tool support Zen4 architecture and its AVX512 optimizations. Unlike Intel 12th and 13th Gen Core series, AMD Ryzen 7000 series will support 512-bit Advanced Vector Extensions, AVX512 instructions, benefiting advanced benchmarks.

The screenshot shared by Alexander shows 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X (not officially available yet) running y-cruncher with 98.04% saturation during Pi calculations. For this test, Windows 11 operating system was used and a desktop with 64 GB of DDR5 memory.

Interestingly, no optimization resources were available to Yee, yet he managed to optimize the software for the unreleased Zen4 architecture himself.
